Abortion: Nancy Pelosi declines to say when Jesus got the right to life

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), has long professed herself to be a Catholic. Sadly however she has jettisoned Church teaching on abortion. Pelosi has long raved and ranted about women's rights. Sadly she has no concern for the right to life of the unborn. She played a leading role in the campaign to push through the Obama healthcare bill which provides for taxpayer funded abortion.
Nancy Pelosi should consider the following:
Those Catholics who publicly announce their denial that abortion is always gravely immoral, or who publicly promote abortion, or who publicly argue in favour of legalized abortion, also commit a mortal sin and also incur a sentence of automatic excommunication.

This sentence of excommunication applies to Catholics who are politicians, as well as to those Catholics who are political commentators, or public speakers, or who write or otherwise publicly communicate their erroneous view that abortion can be morally-acceptable or that abortion should be legal. This sentence of excommunication also certainly applies to those Catholics who claim to be theologians or Biblical scholars, but who believe or teach that abortion is not always gravely immoral.(Abortion and Excommunication)
Earlier this year she stated that she had a duty to pursue policies “in keeping with the values” of Jesus Christ, the “Word made Flesh.” Last week, when questioned-at a press briefing- on this statement Pelosi dived for cover and declined to say when Jesus got the right to life.
CNS reports:
“Whenever it was,” said Pelosi, “we bow our heads when we talk about it in church, and that’s where I’d like to talk about that.”
Later, when asked in writing through her press secretary whether the speaker believed Jesus had a right to life from the moment of conception, the press secretary responded: “The speaker answered the question. Thanks.”
