NATO Spy Charged With Passing US Missile Defense Secrets to Russia


Herman Simm, 61, an Estonian defense ministry official who was arrested in September, was responsible for handling all of his country's classified information at NATO, giving him access to every top-secret graded document from other alliance countries. There appears to have been a catastrophic breach of security. Clear-cut evidence here that the Russian intelligence services are as active and effective now as they were in Cold War times.
